I’ve been listening to Christmas songs all month. All the classics like “O Holy Night” and “Carol of the Bells“, and all the modern classics like “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and “Last Christmas”. At the end of a year that has been so trying for so many reasons, these songs are both familiar and comforting. But today, I wanted something new. I wanted to know if there were any new Christmas songs out there to discover. And then I discovered “Bells, Bows, Gifts, Trees” by Todrick Hall. Yes. Just… yes. I love this so much. He had me at the line, “All I want for Christmas is a cure for COVID.” Amen to that.
So if you celebrate Christmas, I hope you are having the merriest of days. And if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope you are having a lovely day.
