If so, you may be like me, in that I stared at this image for a full twenty minutes before I realized that what I was looking at was a bunch of human bodies arranged into the image of a maple leaf. That’s right. Take a closer look. Those are human bodies. Welcome to the world of Cecelia Webber.
Cecelia Webber is an artist who uses human bodies to create images of nature. I chose the image above because it’s Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and a maple leaf felt appropriate. But you should absolutely check out the rest of her work. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, and the detailing in some of the images is extraordinary. I especially love the peacock.
A year ago, I would have never have known that art like this exists. But it does, and I will forever be grateful for that.
