Daily Helping for September 18th, 2023 – Queer Folklore by Smug Morenita

It’s a dreary and grey Monday morning, and while I do not subscribe to the “I Hate Mondays” philosophy, I was looking for a bit of colour to brighten up this morning. Enter the incredible work of Gabriela Alemán, a queer, Latinx, multidisciplinary artist whose artist name is Smug Morenita. Her work is vibrant and bold, and I love it all. I also can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 300th daily helping of this year’s challenge. Yes! 300! I might just make it this year after all…
