As someone who is not non-binary, I can’t imagine what it must be like to have to constantly explain your very existence to people all the time. Even in the best case scenario where the person you’re explaining it to is open-minded and actively wanting to learn, it still must be exhausting. Thankfully, Shireen Amini still has a sense of humour about it, as seen in this brilliant video and song. I love everything about this, including the wonderfully optimistic ending. If only everyone would react so positively when encountering a subject that is new to them.
