“The universe, I believe, finds a way to keep you.”
What an extraordinarily beautiful line. “The Universe is Listening” by Sainee Raj starts out somewhat improbably with an action movie narration. But it quickly switches gears as Raj describes the hopelessness she felt the summer before and what eventually pulled her out of that despair. And in and amongst these heartfelt confessions, she made this declaration. The universe will find a way to keep you. It’s a beautiful thought, and it’s definitely something that I believe as well.
Personally, I have never experienced the level of despair that Raj is talking about in this poem. But I know several people who have, and there are millions of people around the world who struggle with this daily. I hope they can find comfort in the idea that the universe will find a way to keep them as well.
