This video by choreographer Fatima Farhan and dancer Megan Miller is another one of what I’ve taken to calling COVID dance films. Meaning, it’s a dance piece that was created specifically to be filmed because performance spaces are still closed. At least, that is my assumption given the date it was published on YouTube. But also because of the way that the camerawork, lighting, and choreography all move together in a way that isn’t possible in an onstage performance. And it’s gorgeous. I really hope these videos continue to be made, even after performance spaces re-open.
