Daily Helping for May 28th, 2023 – Marisa Darasavath

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you all had a great week and are enjoying some well deserved downtime today. Perhaps you’re going fishing, like the ladies in this painting by Marisa Darasavath. Perhaps not. But there was something about this piece that felt perfect for a day like today. The colours and lines may be vibrant and bold, but there’s also something peaceful about this artwork. I’m not entirely sure how to describe it, but there is something calming about it. Soothing even. I’m not sure why I continue to find myself unable to properly articulate why I love a piece of visual art. But I do love it. I’m looking forward to discovering more work by Marisa Darasavath in the future.
