Joy Ride is the perfect Friday night movie. Seriously. I love this movie so much, and I can’t wait until it’s on a streaming platform so that I can watch it every Friday night for the foreseeable future. It is hysterically funny, but also surprisingly heartfelt. And I only say surprisingly because I was not expecting to cry during a 90 minute, R-rated, raunchy comedy. But cry I did. And laugh. Out loud. A lot. I can’t wait to see what Adele Lim does next, because she is easily my new favourite director to watch. In the meantime, I will have Joy Ride on repeat for years to come. Absolutely loved this movie.
