A photo of the statue Melia by the artist Josepha. It looks to be a porcelain figure of a woman wearing a red dress with her arms lifted towards the sky.

Daily Helping for December 27th, 2022 – Josepha – Melia

Once again I spent several hours in the Louvre, and once again I failed to find a single female artist to feature. But I did find this beautiful statue by the artist Josepha in the window of a gallery directly across the street from the Louvre. I wish I could have bought it, but given that it was on display facing the Louvre, I’m guessing that it’s way out of my price range. I’ll just have to settle for admiring it through the window. Which I did. For several minutes. Much to the chagrin of the hordes of tourists trying to get around me and go to the Louvre.
