I have a feeling that YouTube’s algorithm has figured out that I want more dance in my life, because this video popped up on my feed this morning without me even having to search. I loved it, and promptly fell down a rabbit hole of other videos from G.NI Jazz Dance. They are a contemporary jazz company from South Korea, and I have yet to find a video of theirs that I don’t love. But for today’s helping, I’m coming back to this first one. It’s fluid, graceful, and lyrical, and I love how the four dancers come together at the end. It’s a finale that gave me goosebumps, even on second viewing.
Not going to lie, I’m loving the fact that beautiful dance numbers like this are now being delivered directly to my doorstep. Sometimes I wonder if the machines are getting too smart. But on days like today, I’m just going to go with it and enjoy the ride.
