I’m not entirely sure how a song can be so technically difficult and yet sound so effortless when performed. But here we are. I’ve listened to “Shinunoga E-Wa” by Fujii Kaze basically on repeat since it first came across my dash, and I love it more and more every time through. It’s just so good. From the piano solo opening to the vocal acrobatics, everything about it is stunning. I don’t understand Japanese, but I have no doubt that the lyrics are beautiful as well. Fujii Kaze has officially rocketed to the top of my to-see-live list.
