I thought about doing something funny for April Fool’s Day, but once again the universe had other plans for me. While searching for pranks, this incredible poem by Emi Mahmoud came across my dash instead, and I was completely enraptured. There’s no joke to be found here. Just one of the most beautiful descriptions I’ve ever heard of the countless contradictions of what it means to be in love. It’s beautiful. It’s powerful. And it’s stunning in its lyricalness. So again, I have no silly prank for you today. Just another gorgeous example of the power of words.
