I am definitely back on my spoken word kick. I spent a lot of time today watching a lot incredible performances, but this one in particular stood out. Listening to these three poets and performers describe the myriad of ways they have to change their very existence on a daily basis just to get through the day is exhausting to listen to. I can’t even imagine how exhausting it must be to have to live like this.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any information about who these three artists actually are, so I can’t give them credit by name. But I want to thank them for this piece and its many insights into the nature of code switching. I hope I can find more of their work in the future.
