Today’s daily helping is Chris Schwagga, a photographer, designer, and artist out of Rwanda. He is definitely a multi hyphenate talent, but it was through his photography that I first became aware of his work. Particularly his black and white portraits. They are all radiantly beautiful and so vividly full of joy. I love them.
However, my favourite photograph from his profile is the one above. It’s regal and refined, and yet also wonderfully surreal. And I love the colour patterns of the jacket and headpiece. I’m officially adding Chris Schwagga to my list of photographers I hope will exhibit in my city soon. I’d love to see these photographs up close.
