I’m a bit confused about this one. Don’t get me wrong. “Stay High” is a great song, and a huge congratulations to Brittany Howard for winning a Grammy Award for it. But I’m confused about the category. Best Rock Song? I know I’ve been out of the loop for a while now when it comes to popular music, but is this considered rock now? Again, I love this song, but out of everything I could use to describe it, rock is not one of those descriptors. So either I’m missing something, or this is what rock music sounds like now. And honestly? I don’t particularly care. It’s a great song, and a Grammy award-winning one at that, so I’m going to stop pondering and just enjoy it.
