Daily Helping for June 17th, 2021 – Bobbi Humphrey – Set Us Free

For some reason, I woke up this morning with a craving to listen to a flautist. I have no idea where this craving came from, but I’m going to roll with it. Especially since when I googled “flautists I really should know”, I landed on “Set Us Free” by Bobbi Humphrey. As is often the case when it comes to music, I had never heard of Bobbi Humphrey before, but I quickly fell in love with her musical style of jazz and funk fusion. All while managing to centre the flute as the primary instrument. Honestly, I have no idea how she created half the notes in this song, but I could listen to it all day.

Also, on a separate but not entirely unrelated note, I’ve decided that flautist is my new favourite word.
